David started his round track racing career in 1986, at the age of 15. His first car was an

enduro car that he and his father built together. He continued to race strictly enduro races,

traveling to different tracks throughout South Georgia and Florida until 1995.

In 1996, David bought his first Street Stock car, and started racing in the Carey Hilliard's Street Stock

Division at Oglethorpe Speedway. He has not been able to race full time, due to other commitments,

but in the 4 years that he competed on a part-time basis, he scored 7 feature wins.

So far this year, he has only competed in 5 races, but has 4 top five finishes and is currently in the top 20

in points. David is planning to compete in the Late Model Series as soon as he finishes his car.
